Hearts and Flowers is a not for profit community enterprise based at Stanmer Organics. They have a beautiful half acre site with lots of trees and wild birds which they have begun cultivating with a wide variety of flowers suitable for cutting.
The overarching aim of this project is to produce sustainable and locally grown organic flowers and plants as an alternative to the mainstream floristry industry.
They run workshops during the summer months for community groups and need help with setting up for the weekly visits, welcoming people to the site and helping to tidy up after.
They open a PYO garden over the Summer and help with this is always welcome.
They are also in need of someone who is confident in developing their social media presence especially with their campaigning messages.
Please email them if you would like to find out more about these volunteering opportunities saying a bit about your interests and they’ll get back to you.
