Brunch Bunch club for adults with learning disabilities
About this class
Who’s this for? We are running a monthly cookery club at the Community Kitchen for people with learning disabilities to learn cooking skills and new recipes in a sociable setting.
Our ‘Brunch Bunch’ sessions will cook a light, mid-morning meal together. We will learn simple recipes for tasty breakfasts and light lunches, such as: pancakes, French toast, soups, dips, salads, bread and a few sweet treats. Every session includes a healthy recipe.
We will share the work to create our dishes so there will be plenty of time to socialise and chat. We welcome participants who can attend independently, as well as those who may need a carer’s support to get the most out of the sessions.
This project is funded by The Big Lottery Community Fund and is part of a national project Ready, Healthy, Eat led by The Real Farming Trust and working with organisations in Edinburgh, Waltham Forest and Belfast.
