About this class

A chance for your child to learn classic cookery skills ! This session features the cuisine of Mexico.

We are back this October half-term with our World of Food sessions for the young cook in your life. These fun, hands-on workshops with experienced cookery teacher and mum Jess will see your child learning classic cookery skills. You may never want to cook again!

The menu for this Mexican-themed session is:

  • Make a homemade cheese quesadilla / flatbread
  • Guacamole
  • Refried / Mexican beans

Skills covered include safe knife use (the bridge and the claw), safe frying, mixing and measuring.

Dietary requirements: For any dietary requirements or allergies, please contact us to discuss before booking.

Tickets for this event include:

  • professional cookery tuition
  • all ingredients and equipment
  • water available throughout the session
  • a meal to take away at the end of class
  • all recipes from the class.

Booking instructions

Tickets for this event are £25 per child. We have a limited number of concession tickets at £15  for families in receipt of a means-tested benefit, use the drop-down to select this option. This session has been designed for those aged 7 to 13.

If you need any help with your booking, please contact us on info@bhfood.org.uk – leave a phone number if you want a call back and we can arrange bookings over the phone (Monday -Friday, 9-5pm).
