Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens is the Food Partnership’s 4.5 acre site at Stanmer Park which is shared with 13 community groups. Our aims for the site are to have a thriving, community space where people can find sanctuary and nurture wellbeing through the provision of food-growing, gardening, education and nature connection activities.
We are currently undertaking a mix of woodland conservation, gardening and practical activities to transform currently unused parts of our site into community spaces.
The kind of things volunteers can expect to get involved in:
• Bramble bashing and weeding
• Fire tending
• Coppicing & pruning
• Making pathways
• Planting hedgerows, herbs and flowers
• Meeting lovely, friendly people
All Food Partnership gardens are part of the Green Wellbeing Alliance for therapeutic outdoor projects.
