UPDATE OCT 2025 – The phoenix shop is at capacity at present and are only able to take new clients on the Phoenix estate.

The Phoenix food shop is a volunteer-run food project committed to providing low-cost food options to the Phoenix estate, Hanover and the Tarner community.

Members can choose from the table of cupboard staples, cereal, long life milk and tins, displayed neatly on a chequered table cloth.

Donations Requested:

Particularly in need of breakfast cereal/ beans/cooking sauces/ rice/pasta/tinned veg/longlife milk/tinned fish and meat/soup/kidney beans/chickpeas/tinned spaghetti/dairy free milk/rice cakes/lentils and pulses. Hygiene products and pet food We also take fresh veg as well as Wheat Free and Halal.

Volunteers Needed:

Varied volunteer roles available during their opening times on a Thursday from 9.30am, with particular help needed in admin roles at the moment. Get involved by filling in the form on the Phoenix Food Shop website.
