About this class

Learn to create the ultimate cheese board with innovative wine & food pairings in this workshop with cheese-expert Patrick.

Patrick and Helen

Be quick if you want to join our popular cheese and wine event – led by top food writer Patrick McGuigan and wine expert Helen Chesshire. We can’t wait to welcome this fun duo back to the Kitchen after their previous sold-out events.

In this special class, Patrick will share his tips for selecting the best cheeses and you will taste some of Patrick’s favourites – all made by small farmhouse and artisan cheesemakers. He will also share a selection of innovative accompaniments for you to taste alongside – from honey or nuts to the more unusual chocolate!

You will taste five cheeses in total, and alongside Helen will offer some award-winning still and sparkling wines as she reveals how you can complement your creations with the best in wines and spirits.

This is great prep for impressing future dinner party guests – or maybe just for readying yourself for a little indulgence by the fireside this winter.

Patrick McGuigan is a Brighton-based food journalist & cheese writer for a range of national titles. He is a senior judge at the World Cheese Awards, a member of the Guild des Fromagers, teaches Academy of Cheese training courses at the School of Fine Food in London and also runs the Online Cheese School. He is also the co-founder of Brighton’s OctoberBest restaurant festival.
