Consultancy & training
Our team of food experts deliver training and consultancy to both professionals and the public.
Consultancy:
We are often approached by organisations interested in learning from our work, particularly how we setup & run as a Food Partnership, our food strategy work, community composting schemes or how we setup our Community Kitchen social enterprise.
Due to the large amount of enquiries we receive, we generally ask for a donation or contribution towards our time. For our senior team, the day rate is £350 for charitable organisations, and £500 for public sector or commercial groups. Please note we are able to attend online meetings, or host visits at our offices in central Brighton, but are unlikely to be able to travel for events or meetings.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss this consultancy offer further.
Training:
We can also organise a bespoke workshop or training session based on your needs and interests – we have delivered a range of sessions for organisations such as the City Council, Advice sector and voluntary organisations.
- Eatwell workshop
A practical workshop led by an NHS-registered nutritionist which helps participants to (1) understand the value of eating well and how it impacts other areas of physical and mental health for clients and staff. (2) To understand the basics of the Eatwell guide.
- Cookery workshops
A hands on cookery session in our central Brighton cookery school (or at a venue of your choice where we can bring our portable cookery kit). Previous sessions include a ‘Cooking on a Budget’ for workers looking to lead cookery activities with mental health clients, or team building baking & cookery sessions for colleagues.
