Low Energy Cooking – Spaces Filled
About this class
Join us for our cookery class – Low Energy Cooking.
In this class we will cook in pairs and share cooking methods and tasty recipes which save time and avoid the costs of using your oven – quick recipes, no-cook recipes & slow cooker recipes.
With increasing fuel and food prices we will focus on smart cooking and meal planning to make sure you are eating well and packing nutrition into your meals while making the most of your budget.
We will give a slow cooker or a stick blender to class participants to take home and keep – pick whichever item you would find most useful at home.
Course structure:
- Creating quick tasty breakfast options and snack bars
- Using a slow cooker to batch cook soup, sauces and hearty meals for the week
- Making quick salads from store cupboard staples
This project is funded by Brighton and Hove City Council
