Granola Flapjack Bars

These Chewy Flapjacks (Granola Bars) are so moreish! Sprinkled with almond flakes & white chocolate chips, they’re real treat. They make delicious snack or even breakfast on the go. 

Serves 8 people

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200C. Oil a deep baking tray.
  2. In a large pan, melt the butter and syrup together then turn off the heat. 
  3. Add the granola or raw dry ingredients and mix until all the dry ingredients are glossy. 
  4. Turn out half the mixture in the tray and press it down. 
  5. Warm the jam until runny and spread a thin layer over the flapjack base. 
  6. Top with the remaining half of the flapjack mixture and press it down again. 
  7. Bake for about 10 mins until golden. Cut into portions in the tray while its still warm.  
    Leave to cool and set before removing from the tray.

100g butter 

4 tbsp syrup 

800g golden granola 

2 tbsp jam (apricot is preferred)
