A fuss free recipe that’s fun for kids and adults alike to put together.
Method
- Put the oven on at 200C or gas mark 8
- Begin by making the tomato sauce. Peel & crush the garlic clove and mix it together in a bowl with the tinned tomatoes and dried herbs. Add tomato puree until your pizza sauce is as thick as you want. Season to taste.
- Grate the cheese(s).
- If you are using a French stick or muffins, slice them in half down the middle. Place whichever bread you are using on a baking tray.
- Cut up your toppings into slices or small pieces so that they will cook relatively quickly.
- Spread the tomato sauce on the bread base then cover with the toppings you have chosen. Sprinkle on the cheese(s).
- Put in the oven and bake until the cheese is nice and melted – probably about 10-12 minutes although it is worth keeping a close watch to ensure it does not burn.
