Chewy, spicy flavour-filled, energy-packed bars – ideal for packed lunches.
Method
1. Preheat oven to 190C/ 375F/ Gas 5.
2. Combine all ingredients and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
3. Press mixture into 20cm x 20cm baking dish.
4. Bake until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
5. Loosen with spatula, and cut into bars while warm.
6. Serve hot or cold.
Ingredients
- 30 grams sunflower seeds
- 180 grams chopped raw eating apples
- 135 grams rolled oats
- 30 dried cranberries
- 30 grams wholewheat flour
- 90 grams chopped dates
- 0.5 teaspoon(s) sea salt
- 125 mL orange juice (juice of one orange approx)
- 2 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg
