Makes 3 sausage rolls.
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200.
- In a bowl grate the cheese and the onion. Add the breadcrumbs and mix well.
- Add the spices and the soft cheese to the mix and stir well until it binds together.
- Unroll the pastry and cut it in 3 down the shortest side.
- Put the filling in the middle of each section. Brush one edge with egg wash and join.
- Turn the sausage roll over the join on the bottom.
Egg wash the top and then use a butter knife to put small slits along the top. Cut into smaller rolls if you would like. - Place in the oven for 20/25 minutes.

100g cheddar cheese (or any hard cheese)
100g breadcrumbs (or 2 slices of stale bread crumbled)
1 onion
2 tbsp of dried mixed herbs
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp of paprika (or tomato paste)
1 tbsp of soft cheese
pinch of salt and pepper
1 ready rolled puff pastry sheet (375g circa)
1 egg wash (use milk alternatively)
