Amma’s Kitchen – celebrating 100 lessons with Chef Kanthi – FUNDRAISER, SOLD OUT
About this event

This is a special, fundraising event to celebrate Kanthi’s 100th lesson at the Community Kitchen. Kanthi is donating his time to help raise funds for our community cookery groups. Thank you all for your support.
Chef Kanthi brings the authentic tastes of South India to the Community Kitchen, sharing the cooking techniques and flavour combinations that he learned by his mother’s side growing up – so you can prepare a typical homestyle south Indian meal in Brighton.
You will work in pairs to prepare a typical menu of Kanthi’s favourite dishes, his mother’s special recipes for:
- Sunday chicken curry
- Tomato and tamarind rasam
- Potato and pepper fry
- Bhagara rice
- Plus a dessert made by Kanthi to share at the end of the meal
Dietary information: This class is gluten-free however we cannot guarantee the kitchen is a fully gluten-free environment. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
