About this class
Join our cookery leader Emiliano and learn to cook tasty, balanced meals that are low-cost and budget-friendly.
This class will celebrate the benefits of batch cooking – to reduce meal costs, learn to cook wholesome healthy meals, spend just a few hours cooking for the whole week, minimise food waste and cut down the amount of packaging and plastic waste produced.
Our Cookery Leader Emiliano will show you how to batch cook and portion your meals so that they can be properly stored/frozen; allowing you to have a ready-cooked homemade dinner available whenever you need it.
You will work in pairs during the class and topics will include:
- Meal planning for the whole week (ensuring that they are nutritious and balanced)
- Practical cooking session (batch cooking for the whole week)
- Preparing nutritious and tasty snacks (savoury and sweet)
- Tasting your creations and taking away packaged food for the week ahead!

Dietary information: This class is suitable for vegetarian diets, and can be adapted for vegan diets but this must be specified when booking. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.

This class is being offered exclusively to key workers/ workers in the charity and public sector. Tickets for this event are £29.99, or £44.99 if you are able to ‘pay it forward’ to help us run more low-cost cookery courses. At most classes, food is prepared in pairs, but dishes can be adapted to individual tastes if needed.
