Latin American Street Food cookery class – ONE SPACE RELEASED
About this event
In this class, chef Diego Ricaurte is your guide as you create a range of classic street food dishes from Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador. You will learn about choosing quality meat for your dishes and about the mix of indigenous and Spanish flavours that influence Latin American cuisine.
The menu typically includes dishes such as:
- Arepa de chicharron (corn patties served with crispy pork)
- Pozole Rojo ( Mexican spicy pork and corn soup) with wild nettles
- With sides such as black beans, sweet plantain and wild garlic sauce.
Diego has a strong quality-over-quantity ethic, and the class will work with a robustly flavoured pork shoulder from the traditional rare-breed Middle White, sourced from Huntsham Farm, Herefordshire. All the dishes are gluten-free and designed to be recreated quickly at home for fun and healthy family meals.
Dietary information: The menu for this class is gluten-free, however, please note that we cannot guarantee the kitchen is a fully gluten-free environment. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
“I will make all the recipes at home. Loved Diego’s passion and interaction with the class.” “Liked making all the sauces, it felt really authentic. We had a really enjoyable evening – will recommend and come again.”
