Saunders Park Edible Garden Volunteer Action Day

Thursday 29th November 2018 - Thursday 29th November 2018
10:00 am - 3:00 pm

About this class

volunteers at Saunders Park community gardenHelp us build a new raised bed and get the orchard ready for winter with a good mulch. A great opportunity to get outside and active at a session fully supervised by our friendly team.

Saunders Park Edible Garden is run by the Food Partnership. Over the last two years we have been converting this little-known space from a forgotten and neglected corner of the park into a vibrant edible community garden

The garden is looked after by a group of regular volunteers but for tasks like these many hands make light work so we are holding a volunteer action day.

In order that everyone is well supported we are asking people to arrive at either 10am or 1pm and to stay as long as you like.

Please wear sturdy boots, bring gloves if you have them and water / a packed lunch.

We will supply tea, coffee and biscuits.

Please register (preferably with a phone number) so we can contact you on the day if we need to cancel due to terrible weather (and so we know how many biscuits to buy).

For any questions call us on 01273 431 700.

Thank you.
