Volunteer Activity Days at Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens

Wednesday 21st January 2026 - Wednesday 9th December 2026
10:00 am - 1:00 pm

About this class

Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens is our 4.5 acre site at Stanmer Park which is shared with 13 community groups. Our aims for the site are to have a thriving, community space where people can find sanctuary and nurture wellbeing through the provision of food-growing, gardening, education and nature connection activities.

We will be undertaking a mix of woodland conservation, gardening and practical activities at our fortnightly Wednesday morning sessions. This is to transform currently unused parts of our site into community spaces.

The kind of things you can expect to get involved in:

  • Bramble bashing and weeding
  • Fire tending
  • Coppicing & pruning
  • Making pathways
  • Planting hedgerows, herbs and flowers
  • Meeting our friendly group of volunteers
