Webinar – Unpacking the latest findings on food insecurity in Brighton & Hove
About this class
The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership’s annual Emergency Food Network report finds that over 5,800 people a week need food support.
That’s enough to fill two entire stands at the Amex Stadium, or the Brighton Dome Hall three times over. The cost of living, debt, and low income are keeping people reliant on emergency help year on year.
The good news is food projects are adapting, finding ways to offer more choice, advice, and preventative support. These spaces are vital hubs for knowledge, connection, and community change, thanks to over 650 amazing volunteers.
Join us to discuss the latest figures, pressing challenges, and active solutions.
We will also share the human stories behind the numbers, as the teams at local food projects continue to go above and beyond to support their communities.
Joining the panel are:
- Emma Brown, Networks and Communications Officer for Brighton & Hove Food Partnership, and co-author of the Emergency Food Network report.
- Reuben Davidson, Founder and CEO of the The Village Food Bank CIC.
- Amanda Brace, Co-Founder and Manager of The Pankhurst Pantry.
