Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens

Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens is a community space where people can find sanctuary and nurture wellbeing, through getting involved in food-growing, gardening, education and nature connection activities.

The Food Partnership manages this 4-acre site, situated in the heart of Stanmer Park, on the outskirts of Brighton.  It borders the walled garden at One Garden and Stanmer Organics. There are 13 ‘plots’ within the gardens, with a range of habitats, some are used for food-growing, others for wildlife conservation and several woodland areas.

How to get to Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens.

Garden hire

There are three available plots to book by the day for community outdoor activities, the Woodland Garden, Gathering Glade and the Pond Garden. Find out more about hiring our spaces here.

Volunteer at Stanmer

We have a regular community gardening group fortnightly on Weds mornings from 10 – 1pm, undertaking tasks such as conservation, pond management and food growing. Find the next volunteer dates and book your space if you would like to attend. We are currently working to transform currently unused parts of our site into community spaces.
