Over the past three months we have been running our first dementia friendly gardening sessions of the year at the Garden House in Brighton. Last week we had the lucky pleasure of going along with the Mayor of Brighton and Hove to take some pictures and find out what the sessions are all about.
It was immediately obvious that all of the participants, carers and volunteers had bonded with each other and the garden over the past few months. The smiles as everyone arrived and settled in made me feel very welcome, as did the tea and Deborah’s delicious cake.
As they say, a picture tells a thousands words so I will let the pictures give you a glimpse into what goes on at our dementia friendly gardening sessions.
